Hi, I’m Kate.

I have many titles, such as Writer, Mother, Reader and “bringer of yummy foods.”

I am currently in my final year of a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing as a mature student (in age not mind). I have previously qualified and worked as a Teaching Assistant and Legal Secretary.

I write fiction (short stories and novels), poetry and scripts (theatre and screen). I have been told by other writers that my writerly voice is both personal and powerful. Working on my craft, my focus now is to improve my form and structure, specifically within my fiction pieces. My poetry has been described as immersive and jarring.

I am currently developing a hybrid collection of non-fiction essays and poetry relating to domestic violence AND a fantasy novel set in Victorian Wales.
